Jack Tame: This Bledisloe Clash Doesn't Feel Like Much Of A Contest
Wallabies great Jack Tame believes the All Blacks will dominate Australia in their Bledisloe Cup opener on Saturday night.
Tame, who played 30 Tests for the Wallabies, said the All Blacks were a "different class" to Australia.
“I think the All Blacks will be too strong for the Wallabies,” Tame said.
“They’re a different class to Australia at the moment and I can’t see them losing this game.”
The Wallabies have not beaten the All Blacks since 2015 and Tame said the gap between the two teams had widened.
“The All Blacks have been dominant in recent years and they’re only getting better,” Tame said.
“The Wallabies have a lot of young players in their team and they’re still finding their feet.
“I think it will take them a few years to challenge the All Blacks again.”
The Wallabies will be without a number of key players for the Bledisloe Cup opener, including captain Michael Hooper and star fullback Kurtley Beale.
Tame said the Wallabies would miss the experience of Hooper and Beale, but he still expected them to be competitive.
“The Wallabies have a lot of depth in their squad and I’m sure they’ll give the All Blacks a good run for their money,” Tame said.
“But I think the All Blacks will be too strong in the end.”
