Business Owner Accused of Attacking Woman

Charges Stem from Incident at Downtown Cleveland Apartment

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The owner of several popular Cleveland restaurants, including TownHall and Barley House, was arrested Friday and charged with attempted murder after allegedly beating a woman at a downtown Cleveland apartment.

Bobby George, 43, of Lakewood, was taken into custody after the alleged attack, which occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday. According to police, George and the victim had been arguing in an apartment on West 6th Street when George allegedly began punching and kicking her in the head and face.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, including a fractured jaw and a head laceration. George was booked into the Cuyahoga County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

George is the owner of several successful businesses in the Cleveland area, including TownHall, Barley House, and ReBol. He has been a prominent figure in the city's culinary scene and is known for his philanthropic work.
